Commercial building services

A maintenance specification.
A programme you can follow.

If your building specification calls for SFG20, make it part of the brief. Start with the assets, required work, authorised schedule access and the records expected from each visit.

Define the work

A scope you can understand.

Agree the requirements and deliverables before the work is arranged.

01

Confirm the asset baseline

Identify what is installed and how it is used. Reconcile existing reports, equipment information and access limitations before the programme is agreed.

02

Agree how the specification applies

Confirm authorised access to the relevant current schedules and the responsibilities for selecting and reviewing them. Consider applicable duties, manufacturer requirements and site risks.

03

Record delivery and exceptions

Define how completed work, failures, deferred tasks, access restrictions and remedial actions are evidenced. Review changes to the asset base and programme through an agreed process.

A useful record

Make the evidence
part of the agreement.

Confirm what will be provided for the service you choose.

  • An agreed scope identifying assets, responsibilities and exclusions.
  • A programme whose applicable requirements and access arrangements are defined.
  • Service evidence and an exception/action record for the work delivered.

Before you enquire

A few things made clear.

What is SFG20?

SFG20 is a proprietary building maintenance specification and schedule library. Its use must follow the relevant licence and access permissions.

Is a licence a compliance certificate?

No. It confirms authorised access to the standard. Actual adherence and the work delivered remain separate responsibilities.

Can you publish the task schedules for us to copy?

The schedules are licensed content. Use the authorised platform and agreed permissions; this page explains the service approach rather than reproducing those schedules.
