Working At Height – Are Your Feet on Firm Ground?

It has been 10 years since the introduction of the Working at Height Regulations, however falls from height are still a leading cause of accidents and fatalities in the work place.

Over the past decade, there has been a downward trend in statistics in relation to workplace injury; nevertheless slips, trips and falls from height are still a major cause of injury in the workplace.

Employers and those in control of any work at height activity must make sure work is properly planned, supervised and carried out by competent people, as it is a legal duty to take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions in the workplace.

All of our engineers at Robinsons have undergone Working at Height training, which is updated on an annual basis. This certifies that all engineers have an understanding of the policies and practice in relation to working at height, and ensures they are competent in carrying out the work required of them.

HSE have created a guide to help you comply with the law, which can be seen here. Alternatively please talk to us and we can discuss further.
